Background
The Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Trust Hospital needed a new intranet. Their existing intranet was extremely difficult to navigate and dull. The hospital wanted to create a space for staff not to just find the information they require quickly but also one that created a sense of staff community.
Solution
Through meetings and staff workshops we agreed on a design and layout that incorporated lots of staff focused imagery with a simple layout and colour scheme so the site would work both quickly and efficiently. We created sub homepages for departments so that each department had an area where it could display any information it felt necessary by means of simply turning on or off customised sections in the cms.
Result
The new intranet will boost morale within the staff and will make a big difference to their daily working lives.
